This elegant treatment is made of a tapestry woven chenille that shimmers and drapes beautifully. If you like a fabric that is durable enough for upholstery, take another look. If it isn't stiff and it doesn't have a backing for upholstery, it may perform very well for other uses. This fabric works well on swags, bedding, and drapery elements. If you wanted a drapery that clears the floor by 1/2", this wouldn't be the best fabric, because it is a little stretchy. We finished this swag treatment with floor length jabots (angled to a point).
Tassel trim is one of my favorites for swags, because the tassels or bobbled hang free of the swag and catch the light. For a more modern look consider hard bobbles made of metal, glass, or bamboo.
Notice that there is no hardware showing! Mounting on hidden boards is a cost saving measure as well as a way to create easy going elegance.
