Our online custom pleated draperies are made to the same fine professional standards as our fully custom draperies. Each order is hand crafted after receiving your order. Lead time varies.
- Standards for our custom draperies:
- Panels are cut to match.
- Patterns and motifs are matched at the seams.
- Draperies are square and lengths are accurate.
- Side hems are rolled double 1.6” and blind stitched
- Bottom hems are rolled double 4” and blind stiched.
- Draperies are fully lined with premium grade pale ivory 100% cotton sateen.
- Lining is hemmed independently of the outer drapery
- Tops of the draperies are reinforced with a stiffening layer
- Pleats are tacked 4” from the top
- Drapery is pinned 3/8” from the top (ideal for most rings)
- Standard fullness draperies have 5 pleats. Finished width is approximately 22” including returns
- Deluxe fullness draperies have 7 pleats. Finished width is approximately 29” inclluding returns
- Returns are 3.5”
- Leading edge width is 2.5
If you mount to a traverse rod, it will have a metal return with a hole that will accept the outer drapery pin. If you mount to a drapery pole, we recommend creating a return by fastening the outer edge of the drapery to the wall. One way to do this is to hook the outer drapery pin over a cup hook, tentor hook, or screw that you install to the wall.
